I love Trader Joe's but so many of their snacks are unhealthy or high calories. What are your guys favorite TJ's low cal or healthy snacks? Thanks!

I ate their "Italian country salad" today and it was good from both a taste and nutrition perspective--so long as you skip their salad dressing. I also find little to buy there besides fruits, vegetables, dairy, and wine.

On the plus side, they're easier on the paycheck than Whole Foods.

Savory mini thin rice crackers. The multiseed with soy sauce is the best.

    Snap Peas
    Baby Carrots
    Baby Spinach
Organic Hummus (or regular hummus, garlic hummus, red pepper hummus)
    Guacamole Edamame Dip
    Pretzel Thins
Cucumber Dill Tzatziki dip (I use it as salad dressing- 30 calories for 2 TBS)
Pure Protein Shakes (in a can)
    "Handful of Almonds"
    "Handful of Cashew, Almond, Cranberries"
    ALL of the trail mixes
    Popcorn in Olive Oil
"This Strawberry/Blueberry/Fig/Apple Walks into a Bar" -for the kids
    Organic Kids Z-Bars
    Bag of slices apples
Natural almond or peanut butter (unsalted, unsweetened)
pre-hardboiled eggs (little pack of hard-boiled eggs)
    regular organic cage free eggs
    Morning Star sausage links
    Blueberry Flaxseed instant oatmeal
Bananas (You can buy them single, too. $.19 for regular, $.29 for organic)
    Avocados
    Whole Wheat Pita Bread
    English Cucumbers
Frozen organic brown rice (individual serving)
Frozen organic Quinoa (Also individual serving)

I love Trader Joe's, because as a mom of 2 little kids, I don't have a whole lot of time to pre-measure snacks and prepare food. I do pay a little more for healthy convenience food. For example, I don't have a lot of time to hard-boil eggs, so I just buy them pre-boiled.

I do a lot of shopping at Trader Joe's. Cheaper than Whole Foods and I know nothing is processed or artificial.

Chive Yogurt dip (can't remember the actual name) - but it is really good with veggies....and not too bad on cals.

My absolute fav thing at TJ's is the Edamame Hummus though - - - holy Jesus - - I could eat a whole tub of it - - but it is pretty high in fat and cals.

Seaweed Chips - loooooooooove this stuff!! The entire package is 60 calories and it has protein, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and a whole bunch of other deliciousness!

Classic Hummus - for the calories, it keeps you full and satisfied for a while, especially when paired with TJ's celery or baby carrots

    Otherwise, fresh produce!! It's awesome.

Trader's french green beans steamed, drained then tossed with a tiny bit of olive oil and a sprinkling of sea salt. I make a big dish and snack on them through the day. Tasty way to get my veggies in.

TJ's bruschetta sauce is my favorite recent find at TJ's. 40 Calories for 2 tablespoons and it's an awesome fresh-ish topping for my eggwhites or occasional pasta dinner.
