Getting discouraged and taking a few days off

I'm down 31 lbs with 9 to go. I'm getting married on June 14. Sometimes when I run a lot of miles, my hip gets pretty sore, and I feel like I'm never going to reach my goal. When I get to feeling like this, I go easy on myself for a few days but I always snap back into gear after a few days. This week, I worked out last on Sunday and then took Monday off due to a 11 hour workday. Then Tuesday, I went to chipotle and allowed myself some sour cream (which I usually skip) and had a family event so I didn't work out. But today, I will get back on the horse.
Anyone else go through this from time to time? Any motivational messages?

Hang in there - It happens to all of us from time to time. Life gets stressful or birthdays pop up and you really want a piece of that yummy cake. Its OK!!! Everything in moderation. So the next day you add 10 minutes to your exercise routine or say no chocolate today, I splurged yesterday.
Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!0 -
i haven't yet. Today is my first day off from exercise in a month...it was planned as ive been going really hard and need a rest, but with weight loss comes successes and failures. if you mess up from time to time that is normal...not a failure. the only failure would be not getting up and moving again. losing weight is an up and down thing...its never lineal. keep yourself positive and even the not so good days will be okay...we all have them0

Just hang in there, and yes we all go through it. I got to a point in time where I dreaded working it out, because it became like work. It got to the point where I was scheduling it in like an appointment, and day after day it was the same exercises, just switched around.
After some time, i said "forget this, I wanna do something fun for a change" and I began do activities that I liked, not because I had to. I found websites like fitnessblender that has over 200 different exercises, blogilates.com which offers hundreds of variations of pilates that are actually really fun and give you a great workout in short time.
If workouts are becoming "work", then find something you enjoy and have FUN at it. Be a kid again if you have to. Go PLAY. As long as your active, its all good. Sometimes we just need a break from the every day routine.0 -
You need to do more hip stretches. I used to get this too. Try looking up yoga stretches for hips and hip flexors.0

I'm dealing with some other issues right now - I have IBS and a wheat allergy that has flared up and I've gotten to the point where everything hurts my stomach, even my regular everyday foods that I've narrowed down to about 10 foods that I can eat without pain and complications. So I just get exhausted of eating such bland food that is going to hurt me anyways and go for the fun stuff, like Chipotle and gluten free pizza.
Also, I have pirioformis syndrome that is really acting up. I'm going to try and buy some resistance bands today to help strengthen it. I mostly run, and last week I ran 4 times (3-4 miles each) and my hip is really screaming about it.
My work schedule will calm down a lot in a couple of weeks, so I'm really hoping to get on the wagon again. I had the most success when I worked out 5-6 times a week and right now I'm at 4 times per week. So I'm really excited to get that extra workout back in a couple of weeks. Then it's off to my wedding and DISNEYWORLD!! WOOO! Thanks for the support guys.0
