Great at planning, horrible with following through.

I've joined awhile ago and loved the app. I love making the goals and plans on how to lose the weight (20-30lbs). I make plans to go to the gym and plan meals. I make numerous excuses not to follow through. "I'm too tired." "my favorite show is on." " I don't want to go to the gym alone" or my favorite "its so much easier to pick up food on the way home, I'll cook tomorrow." I have never really tried dieting or stayed on an exercise program (other then gym in school). I would love any suggestions/encouragement for help with following through.

whenever i start making excuses, i make myself watch this. i think i first found it on here, but not sure. in any case...it's amazing what a powerful effect it had on me the first time i watched it and every time since. good luck!!

I think we've all battled with this particular inner struggle. Just keep plugging away at it. I think eventually we get tired of even our own excuses! It WILL stick one day, and you won't look back. It starts to become easier to make good choices. Then it starts to be easier to stick with those good choices. Remember, it is a lifestyle change. That doesn't happen quickly..0
