I am looking for an effective program to drop as much weight as possible in approximately 30 days.
I will be attending a wedding with relatives I haven't seen in a long time and want to look the best I can.
I would eventually like to lose 50+ pounds so I am hoping the initial weight comes off quickly, although I am also hypothyroid.
What has worked for you?

Just eating with a moderate calorie deficit and exercise. I don't know of any quick way to lose weight that is sustainable in the long run. I have hypothyroid and take thyroxine too.
You can lose a good few pounds over this month and start to notice the difference in how you feel physically.
I'd make a start as soon as you are able and close to the wedding buy a new outfit (if this is affordable) that you really like and fits your current shape well. Enjoy seeing your family.0 -
There are loads of diet plans that will promise you rapid weight loss in that timeframe but I wouldn't suggest adopting one. Unless this wedding was very last minute I'm guessing you knew about it a while ago & maybe should have started a lot sooner instead of looking for a quick fix at the last minute. That being said, you could eat at a sensible deficit, exercise & count your cals & lose some weight sensibly in that timeframe & then continue with it after this event to get to where you want to be in the long term & you would probably feel much better for it than if you try to massively undereat for the next30days0

Don't want bust your bubble but if there was a "quick" and "safe" way to lose weight, we'd all be doing it. The thing I tell myself is that you didn't get this way in a week or a month and you aren't going to get back to where you were in that time either. Pick a workout program that you can stand and hopefully enjoy, count your calories and give yourself 6 months or a year. Take some pics tomorrow and then again along the way and enjoy your newfound success?0
