Gluten Free

I have recently started gluten free because I believe I am having skin issues related to gluten. I have the "chicken skin" and I "itch" all over. Since going gluten free I have noticed other changes but not sure if it is related to the lack of gluten or not. Does anyone have a good site that is trustworthy to help? I am having some medical issues going on and seeing several doctors. Just throwing this out there because I know MFP has a diverse knowledge base. Thanks for your input.

Celiac.com. Do not stop eating gluten until you are tested or you might get a false negative. They have tons of medical and food advice on this site. I have celiac disease. It was discovered when I was eating everything not nailed down and losing massive amounts of weight while feeling like I was run over, several times, by a tank.

My skin has not felt better - literally since I went gluten free. I haven't woke with scratch marks all over either. Everyone told me that it would take months to show an improvement. Within the week my arms improved so much that friends noticed how good my arms looked. I was a big wheat only person. I know I do not have Celiac Disease I feel I have more an intolerance of wheat. Thanks for the input. I will check that web site out.
