issue with losing weight

Hi all,
I will have to say, I lose a good amount of weight using MFP, it's really good app to track all food. I did reach over 20KG of weight lose in around 4-5 months, I do have fitbit one to track activities which it's not much, and withings to track my weight measurement .
but now since one month back, something wrong I'm trying to figure it out, my weight is getting increase, my food almost 80 to 90% if similar to how it was just I increase the input calories from 1200 to 1500, which I believe it should also be for losing weight since I"m 172cm tall.
what extra things that I may did is, using Nespresso machine and do latte coffee like 2-3 times a day with skim milk and zero calories sugar.
my water I can say also similar to what it was.
so what I do wrong ? why my weight getting increase ? I dont want to waste all my work also now I need to get back the weight I gain (2.5K) and I have to lose around 5K to reach my target was only 2.5K away ><
my Diary is open.
thanks

You increased calories and you started gaining weight, I think the riddle has been solved...0
-
weight loss comes from a calorie deficit...if you aren't losing or worse gaining you are not in a deficit.
Do you weigh all your solids and measure liquids? I have to ask as your diary is not open....0 -

was thinking this too0 -

was thinking this too
except they "increased" from 1200 to 1500...would have to be a pretty small individual to gain weight on 1500 calories a day...0 -
The actual numbers don't matter. OP, the simple fact is if you were losing weight and then raised calories and started gaining weight, you are now in a surplus. You are either eating more than you think or burning less than you think or a combination of both. Either way you are not in a deficit and therefore not losing weight.0

How long ago did you switch up to 1500 calories? As above poster said, not many would gain at 1500 so it could just be your body adjusting to the new calories? I did a very low calorie diet for a while and when I upped to 1600 cals I did gain about 5lbs, but after a few weeks that went and I started losing at 1600 calories.
Also, are you 100% sure you log everything correctly? Do you weigh and measure everything?0 -
is it correct that you are a 30 year old male?? eating 1500 calories?0
-
sorry my diary was open for friends only, I open it for public now.
yes that is correct Capt_apollo.
I was actually eating max 1200 Calories and I was losing weight, then I increase it little more when I reach near my target so I can live some how without evoid all food I see it front of me, as I know
30 years old man with 172cm I can eat up to 1600 calories easily and still lose weight since that 1600 is the basic for my body without taking inconsideration any movement (correct me if i'm wrong)
but yet I start gain weight which make me feel I have to go hard again on myself and I drop calories below 1200 + daily sport.0 -
I'm going to go with user error on this one, do you use a food scale? There is no way you are gaining weight on 1500 calories a day unless you were at 1200 or less for the whole 4 months.0
-
I'm 32 year old female, 162cm and lose weight eating at least 1600 calories a day. I would imagine a man who is taller than me could lose weight on more.
Could you be making errors when logging your food as gaining weight at 1500 cals for a man at your height would be unlikely I would think.0 -

At 30 years old, 172cm tall and I guessed about 68kg, your BMR would be 1600 calories per day. Your TDEE is probably closer to 2000 per day. How much do you weigh?0 -
yes I do weight my food correctly and I use scanner whenever it's possible.
rarely when I go outside to have food with friends I try to find best match from DB + best guessing and weight.0 -
today it was 75KG
I should be around 73KG and my target is 68 to 69KG0 -
please find my measurement and details from withings scale

I do use food scale yes.
what it's really change in my daily food is:-
1- drinking more skimmed milk with coffee ( like 2-3 times a day)
2- I do drink diet papsi/cola/redbull
those are two majer things I add it to my daily food.
while diet papsi is not daily like 1-3 times a week.0 -
I looked at your diary from May 1 - today
you are over 2k calories at least 2 of those days, you use quick add calories and some of your entries are suspect.
I am not familiar with cheesecake factory bread but 2 slices of bread @ 88 calories seems very low unless it's really skinny bread...
you are eating more than you have stated here and on the days you are under 2k (sometimes at goal sometimes over goal) you have quick adds and entries (as mentioned) are suspect.
so you are eating more calories than you think if you are gaining weight...0 -
I too looked at your diary. You are way over your limit most days and I too suspect not counting correctly. There are quick add calories used alot. Take a look down below where your totals are---almost everything is in red most days. This is your problem. Tighten up and get precise with your counting. Good luck.0

thanks guys for your time,
that's right from almost middle of april to today, most of my diary are red but it's red because I did hard limit 1200, and sometime most of the time those days I pass it, but as an average of each week I'm around 1600 most of the time,
based on this website
www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
Its say to maintain my weight I can eat up to 1992
So I take it easy and went slow on calories.
but did not expect to see it increase
in that the case should I go back to 1200 calories and do at least 3 days sport ?0 -

When you register with MFP it asks you questions such as age, weight, activity, how much you want to lose etc. Then it gives you a calorie goal before exercise. Any exercising you do will add calories to your daily goal. It's a good idea to follow this closely and fit in as much exercise as you can. You should be registering and logging all exercise also very closely. Try this for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. Best.0 -

Limbochai, you have been reported for spamming on 3 different threads. Stop shilling your crap here.
ETA: Looks like the post I was complaining about got taken down. Thank goodness. I was tired of having my forum lurking interrupted by supplement scams.0
