when I hit my first goal, do I up my calories?

I started at 175 and am 1.5lbs from my first goal of 160. My hope is to get to 140 (I am 5'3") by Christmas. I am currently set to 1320cals a day for a 1.5lb weight loss per week.

Once I hit 160 and have 20lbs left, do I up my calories for a slower loss? I've seen the "chart" saying a specific weight loss range with loss per week. I dont want to lose too fast because I want this to stay off. I am doing the 30DS and then will start either T25 or Body Revolution.

Suggestion is that with 20lbs to lose you change your weekly weight loss goal to 1/2lb a week.

At the moment you should have 1lb a week weight loss goal.

My stomach will be happy with that! Haha. Thanks! Should i then start going by my TDEE or does MFP give a good amt based on presets?

I'm the same height as you, and I started at 140. I originally started out on 1200 calories and lost nearly 20lbs that way, but it took me ages because I kept starting and stopping. I'm now on 1370 and that works much better for me... I'd recommend you change your settings to 1/2lb a week :)

TDEE and MFP+eating exercise calories back are almost the same intake #. I do TDEE because I workout the same # of days per week and I don't like being told I can have 1300 today because I didn't exercise but I can have 1800 the next because I did. I like to focus on the same number every day. It's easier for me, mentally. LOL
