I got a 3 level workout video, starting slowly yesterday and today i did the warm up & cool down. I am going to keep doing this daily this week. Today i decided to see what i was in for next week, and realized that most f the exercises involve weights! This is neither something i have nor can afford right now.

Any suggestions on what i can use from around the house to substitute for now?

Thank you!!

  • Small bottles of water is what I used to use before I got my weights. Tins are good too xx

The above suggestion is a good one...and if they need to be heavier at any point...you can fill the bottles with sand. Also, you might want to check out thrift stores for weights (sometimes they are very inexpensive there) and lots of stores have 1/2 off days!!

You can us bottles filled with water or sand (or dirt). You can use cans (vegetable or soup). There are lots of options, just look around your house for something that you can comfortably and safely hold in your hands. You can even use books. Just a few thoughts.
