Starting Out All Over Again

Hello,

I'm new to MFP, decided to join after getting some very disappointing advice from my doctor. I had made a total life-style change a couple years ago ( I really want to live to see Halley's Comet, and that is my end-goal right now). I had cut out all sodas and sugary drinks and had stopped snacking and such. I successfully completed the C25k program and was so proud of myself. I lost 20 lbs in 6 months.

Then, last August, I had a birth control implant put in my arm. Since then, it's been nothing but bad moods and fatness. I weigh more now than I did when I started exercising. I've ramped up my exercise regime, but nothing seems to work. Unfortunate, watching the number go up on my scale has made this a hundred times harder. So, when my doctor told me to work-out harder and take Raspberry ketones with green coffe bean extract instead of just letting me remove the darn thing I was pretty much ready to give up on my new exercise/diet/lifestyle change. What's the point of I'm just gonna get fatter?

So, I'm here. Hoping that the internet and cold-hard numbers can convince my doctor that I'm not just overeating, and that an active community watching me will convince me to stay on track.

Thanks for reading this.

  • Congratulations on finishing the C25k program! That's definitely not easy. Good luck on your new weight loss journey, I KNOW you can do it! Birth control methods do crazy things to me as well, including weight gain. So that's why I am here as well :(

Focus on the positive and stay away from the scale! Sometimes it does more harm than good. :)

Would love to be your friend and help encourage!
