Starting Out All Over Again

Hello,
I'm new to MFP, decided to join after getting some very disappointing advice from my doctor. I had made a total life-style change a couple years ago ( I really want to live to see Halley's Comet, and that is my end-goal right now). I had cut out all sodas and sugary drinks and had stopped snacking and such. I successfully completed the C25k program and was so proud of myself. I lost 20 lbs in 6 months.
Then, last August, I had a birth control implant put in my arm. Since then, it's been nothing but bad moods and fatness. I weigh more now than I did when I started exercising. I've ramped up my exercise regime, but nothing seems to work. Unfortunate, watching the number go up on my scale has made this a hundred times harder. So, when my doctor told me to work-out harder and take Raspberry ketones with green coffe bean extract instead of just letting me remove the darn thing I was pretty much ready to give up on my new exercise/diet/lifestyle change. What's the point of I'm just gonna get fatter?
So, I'm here. Hoping that the internet and cold-hard numbers can convince my doctor that I'm not just overeating, and that an active community watching me will convince me to stay on track.
Thanks for reading this.

Congratulations on finishing the C25k program! That's definitely not easy. Good luck on your new weight loss journey, I KNOW you can do it! Birth control methods do crazy things to me as well, including weight gain. So that's why I am here as well

Focus on the positive and stay away from the scale! Sometimes it does more harm than good.
Would love to be your friend and help encourage!0
