Anyone else down to the last 10 pounds?

Only 10 pounds until I meet my 'goal'. Or at least the goal I first set for myself. Before my first pregnancy I worked out a lot and was down to 143, after my son, I lost my baby weight except 5 pounds, so, 148, after my daughter I lost my baby weight except 5 pounds, so, 153...and now, after my twins, I went from over 200 at the end of my pregnancy to 160 currently! I'd be perfectly happy with 150, and then would like to work on toning and maintaining :)

So, anyone else working on the last 10 pounds? Or have you done it and have some tips for how to stay motivated and crank it out? Let me know!

I'm down into my last 5-10lbs to lose (actually, I don't care if my weight goes down any more, I'm working on getting my body fat % down to 6%...currently 8%). The key to motivation is WHY-power. Why do you want it? It needs to be a deep-seated need that will drive to your make the correct decisions to pursue your goal. Your why needs to be bigger than your biggest excuse.

If you are having trouble staying motivated and are looking for support, I help to run support groups through Facebook. We have lots of people in there that are improving themselves and helping everyone else to stay accountable. We teach about proper nutrition and how to exercise. I'd be happy to chat with you about it if that is something that you're looking for.

I'm on my last 10 lbs, and honestly, by now I don't need any tips to stay motivated anymore. The healthy lifestyle has just become a habit and I feel like this is how it is supposed to be. :)

Yup ! I am down to my last 9 pounds now.... the last few are always the hardest....
I am training for some mud races and 5K runs that I have signed up for this year....so that should help shed those last few pounds....

I have two more pounds to go until my original goal (which is halfway in the normal BMI healthy range), but I think I might try to lose a couple more. It's annoying when your goal moves (as it sounds like yours is)!

Hoping to get to goal before I go on holiday in a couple of weeks (ROME - so pasta, and pizza, and gelato ... oh man), then keep doing what I'm doing when I get back for however long it takes for me to get to goal AGAIN.

THEN, I'm going to work my way up to maintenance. Adding 200 calories a day, per month, until I'm there - adjusting as necessary.

Add me if you like - we can goal-adjust together! :flowerforyou:

I think the reason why it's not second nature to me is that I only had 20 pounds to lose in the first place. It being a small amount, even getting started in the first place was hard! It took me over a year of waffling and self-loathing before I decided it was worth my time and effort to focus on my health. I've only been actively working on this for a couple of weeks.

My goals are mostly simple, fit into a lot of my pre-pregnancy clothes, maintain a healthy lifestyle and set a good example for my children in exercising and eating well.

My worry is that because it's not 50 pounds I NEED to lose that it will become easier to say, meh...it's only 10 extra pounds. Know what I mean?

I've revised my goal weight as I'm 6 lbs from my original goal weight and I'm certain those 6 lbs won't be enough. So I'm 11 lbs from my new goal and if that's not enough?0, I'll add another 10. Regardless trying to loose the last bit of weight is extremely difficult!! My body wants to hold onto every oz and it's frustrating!!!

I think I've been on my "Last 10lbs" forever!! mmmpphhh... I little bit of gaining back some and losing it again and maintaining... but I am on my last 10lbs and retaking control of it again!
My goal is not a size 4 or a super bikini body, I'm getting closer to the big 4-0 and I just want to learn to feel good about myself... it has taken me a long time to realize, that the size is not what makes me feel good, but how active and in control I feel. The times I've let life's events take over and hinder my 'healthy habits' is when I've felt at my worst (even when my weight was not)!
However, these last few pounds do seem to be stubborn aren't they!!! =)

Yes! I think they tend to be stubborn because when it only sounds like a small amount you think, meh...just 10 pounds!

I've been trying to lose the last 10 lbs for 2 years now...
I did get a new wave of motivation thanks to my honeymoon approaching. I started weight lifting and then gained a bunch so decided to track my food again and it's going great - I am almost back to where I was pre-gain and from there I will have 4-6 left. This time I can feel it. I can see myself succeeding. I was stuck at a certain weight forever because I didn't think I could burst through it and now I do.

    We can do this!

I have 8 pounds to go, but I really think that I should lose another 5-10 after that so I can get within the mid range of the BMI chart.
