Weightloss reward chart

I just got through reading about a visual weightloss reward chart and the benefits of it. Has anyone tried this? It said to get a poster board and make it to your taste to track weightloss and hang it up on a wall! Rewarding yourself with stars, stickers, or whatever (because we all have the "kid" in us), for turning down that piece of cake or that soda we have been wanting all day can be motivational when we actually see the reward on the chart! It sounds like it may be fun! I'm thinking I may try it and get me some hot pink or neon green poster board and dress it up! You could do a chart for the month (Jan=snow, Feb= hearts, ect...to change it up! Just a thought. Everyone have a great day!

I am on a 40 day "push" just working extra hard and saying "no" to more for 40 days (day 41 is my bday ) So I have a countdown on my calendar and I love crossing days off I also leave little notes in the "notes" section of my food diary. So, yes, I think it can be a huge help0

Or instead of using stars you could put a picture of the "reward" you got yourself for reaching that goal. I think this is a great idea and helps you stay motivated because you see it everyday when sometimes you don't see the scale budge. I might try this but then again... I am quite private in my weight loss and not sure I want my boyfriend to see this lol maybe on the inside of my closet or the back of my door (he would never see it but I would see it every morning)0

I get a calendar every year that I find motivational and I track my weight and workouts on it. I'm on year 3 and found that it works for me!
Good luck!0 -

Hey all,
I am a for sure believer in those little things that keep us going. I set it up for my mom a few years back and she was able to drop 20 pounds in under 10 weeks. It really helped us keep on track in terms of excersise (we had a foot sticker which we tacked on the days we pushed ourselves - two sometimes if it was an above and beyond effort) a heart for us reaching our target water intake of 2+ L a day and a happy face when we met our calorie goals. It sounds small but those days where we had all three stickers were rewarding. At the end of the week, if we lost weight (and we usually did) we had a big celebratory sticker which meant that our little tokens paid off!
Do it for you - but bright shiney stickers were my fast track, and still are0
