Pssst. Over here.

I'm brand new to MFP, but not brand new to the fitness journey.
Unfortunately, having lost a tonne of weight using WeightWatchers, I've hit a point of low motivation and a distinct dislike of all diets that point me in the direction of their own branded products.
So I intend to fly solo* .. eat better, restart the running and the cross training, feel better.

* solo - also known as relying on strangers on the internet to push me harder and yell at me when I'm feeling petulant and lazy.

HELP ME!

J

I think you've come to the right place :) If I have a moment of weakness and NEED a sweet treat - a quick look on the database to remind myself of the calories & fat involved is enough to diswade me into a healthier option or better still have nothing at all!! I have been using it for the last year and along with diet & exercise I've lost 3 stone in the last year. Happy to be a friend on here if you you need one.

    Hey :)

I've done the exact same thing. I lost 30 ish kilos with weight watchers but as I got closer to goal it got harder and harder with the WW program. I've got about 20kg to go until goal (tho I'd be happy with 10kg lost to be honest).

MFP is fabulous. Great community, great app.

Feel free to add me :)

    Xx

    Thank you Sweetie.
I shall indeed add you - and am pleased that someone else found the WW priogramme a little arduous after a while.

I've lost weight before, got sick, gained it back (and more). For the past month, I've been much more organic about the food I eat and how much I workout. I've been losing lots of weight and I guess motivation is highest when you start seeing the visible changes in yourself and there's the MFP database. It'll scare you out of your cravings in no time :D

Me too! Lost 3.5 stone with weight watchers and effectively 'got bored' of it. Now trying to think of it more as a lifestyle change and not a diet per say - can't keep attending meetings for the rest of my life. Been on MFP a while but only taking it seriously in the past few weeks and I've lost a few pounds :-) still yet to discover the 'joys' of exercise! Feel free to add me if you like :-)

Hi, I lost nearly 3 stone with slimming world a couple of years ago, but eventually got bored of it all and unfortunately the weight gradually piled back on. I am in my 2nd week of MFP, and so far it's going pretty well. Feel free to add me.

I had an 80lbs and really never did anything but exercise and count calories. I've recently gained some weight trying to put on muscle but seems the belly area was affected. Here I am again trying to lose some pounds again while keeping the muscle I've gained. Please anyone feel free to add Me. I could use the encouragement and love encouraging people on their quest to a fit life. :)

Yep - former WW here too - I lost 60 pounds on it and stalled out and never got any valuable information on how to jump start it, they said I was exercising too much...WHAT? So after gaining back 18 pounds I decided to try something new. Only been here a couple of weeks, but feeling good and in control again for the first time in over a year.

I actually did the WW online thing for a while...and had some small success.....but fell back (this was all years ago)...

Doing great with MFP...as this is more normal way of eating.

Not a stranger to the weight loss or fitness journey myself (can you say almost every pill and fad diet and then some?!?!) I have recently re-started on here to get back on track. Flying solo myself (ya know except for the seeking encouragement and validation from others part!) so feel free to add me and or message me of you need a swift kick in the booty or a kind word!)
