Probably, but if you have a lot to lose you should be fine eating a little below BMR.

Short answer - Most likely .
Give this a read for how to work out what you should be eating to lose etc -

I'd like to lose 40 but I'm nursing so I doubt I can lose all 40. I'm hoping for at least 20.

Unless youve been in a lab you are still estimating your BMR to 1530. It could be 1400, it could be 1630.

^^ Which is why I agree with this.

It says you joined 3 years ago and think you need to lose about 40lbs.

How long have you been netting 1400? Are you seeing results?

Because you are nursing, I'm pretty sure you should be eating MORE! I've read a few places it takes 500 calories extra a day to produce breast milk. You may want to check with you OB/GYN about it. But breast feeding moms need a lot of calories.

if you are nursing, please consult with your's and your baby's doctor about what you should be doing insofar as weight loss and eating right.

I'm entering in breast feeding calories (I pump so I know how much I make) I add it to my food which goes in as a negative so I eat it back
