4 lbs of real weight is 3,500*4= 14,000 calories above maintenance.... That is 1000 calories a day above maintenance. Either your food logging was really off, your exercise burn was way over estimated...both or water weight (some combination). Starting a new routine can cause you to retain water as well as other things. If you are weighing all food and measuring all drinks, and only eating exercise calories you are sure of (many do 1/2) then you will be in a deficient and lose weight.
Water weight fluctuates also from 2-10 lbs. or so. Unless you know your fluctuations by weighing often, you can not tell if you loss or gained till a pattern is seen. Also remember when you weigh...1 liter of water makes you 2.2 lbs. heavier till your body expels it....this fact helps me ignore minor fluctuations and look for the pattern.
As for your calorie intake, we do not know how tall you are, age, sex, current weight? These all matter.0 -
It'll come off. You just need to stick to a proper nutritional plan and exercise schedule. I know that type of situation is frustrating, but just get back to work. You'll get back to where you were. It just takes time and consistency.
If you need help figuring things out, I'm always willing to help out.

Keep doing what you are doing. It will come off, presuming you are measuring your food and exercise correctly. I only eat 1/2 my exercise back. For the record, I am in maintenance, 45, 5'&7", weigh 153 and wouldn't think that 158 on a 5'11" frame is overweight. (I'm the one in the red shirt in the photo. My little sister is in blue and also an MFP-er, for what that's worth.) The problem is that the closer you get to your goal, the longer it takes. Give yourself 4 more weeks. Let your body believe in the new routine before you change it. :drinker:0
