What to call it

I work a desk job and one day a week I am a bartender where I have to stand all night. Constantly bending, carrying, sweeping mopping...you know. I am wondering if those duties should or can be added to my excercise routine? What do you think?

  • I believe that there is a "house work" exercise and I'll bet that you could just enter that!

I don't see why not but I would be careful because we often tend to overestimate how many calories we burn. I would file it under cleaning/housework. I was just reading that doing the dishes burns 70 calories in a half hour... that's some serious dish washing, lol. I probably burn like 50 or less doing the same activity so use your judgement.

Only add it if you listed "Sedentary" as your lifestyle - if you listed moderately active or whatever the next one up is, it's probably already counting those calories in your daily allotment. However, like pcarp said, I would use the "cleaning" activity :)
