How to resist buying unhealthy food at my school?

So...

I need help.

My schools cafe thing has the BEST cakes, cookies etc. They taste so good. I started buying them daily about a couple months ago when i was allowed free school meals..however I JUST buy the cakes. I have gained some weight and am really trying to slim down but find it so hard to resist buying them! Can someone please help me? I know its a trigger for me and i slip up daily because of those stupid cookies! I cant get rid of the free money in my account...however maybe you could help me on how to resist going to actually buy them?

Thank you so much!
I honestly need to stop buying these haha! <3

you gotta find your own motivation, unfortunately thats the only way it will stick.
me personally, if i get a craving for something i just think "i need to lose this fat more than i need to eat a bag of chips". satisfaction from eating is very short lived, in the long run sticking to your guns will be much more rewarding

i suggest not bringing money/debit cards to school at all if possible, thats what i did when i was trying to cut back in high school (obviously it didnt work though or i wouldnt be here now)

    How do you resist?

    Personal pride and willpower.

find a friend at school that has the same goal as you.
reward yourself from time to time with a special treat: a new ring, a manicure....etc...
if you eat a cookie that will make you feel good for 5 minutes.
if you do not eat a cookie that will make you feel good FOR EVER

another option would be to calculate your daily calories intake, get the cookie and give up on something else. however that is not a wise way to spend your calories as it might make you hungrier.

    think about this:
do you really NEED that cookie.
everyone must have cravings at some time , but it is a matter of controlling them and learning how to make better choices. maybe bring some fruit at break to eat so you dont get sugary cravings at lunch, just an apple or something will do. try taking small steps at a time , not like STARTING FROM TOMORROW YOUR NEVER ALLOWED A COOKIE AGAIN!!! ....No. take it nice and slow, try making small changes and try something new each day, then by no time you would be able to easily say no to that cookie. wishing you all the best, and by the way if you do eat bad food, dont beat yourself up, tomorrow is a new day, dont let the negativity get to you.
