Treadmill work outs- what do you do?

Hi All,
I love the treadmill becasue it gives me the ability to A - Burn a ton of calories, B - Get my work outs over quickly, and C - tons of variation.
I am looking for a new treadmill routine that will kick my booty and burn cals fast. Some days I will just run/walk 4 miles, other days I will run, walk, then incorporate sprints.
Anyone have any specific routine/program they like?

Try walking 2 minutes and then running 6. I have been doing this and like it. Then when that gets easy walk 1 run 7.0

For my treadmill workout I like to run for as long as I can then put the incline up to an 11 walking as fast as I can. When adding the incline it really burns the calories. I hold on to my treadmill with my arms in front of me & that seems to help with the flab on my arms too!0

When I get bored on the treadmill I will bump up the incline to 5 or 6 and then increase my speed as time goes by to really get my heart pumping and burning those calories. I typically walk for 40-60 minutes using this method and can burn anywhere from 400-700 calories depending on how much I push myself or eat that day! It spices things up a bit and it is challenging.0

I do what I used to do when I trained with my college soccer team. We would go for 10 minutes. First minute would be set on a jog setting, then after that minute it would be set to more of a sprint setting for 1 minute. Then a jog setting the next, and a sprint setting the next. Everytime you would increase your pace. So if you started out on a 3.0 jog setting, your next jog setting would be something like 3.5 or something like that. Same with sprinting. We started at 7 and then worked our way up to 8 or 9. It doesn't sound that hard because its only 10 minutes, but when your on that treadmill its a killer. It's very exhausting, but I love it.0

I just found some great treadmill workouts for your MP3 player called "ITREAD". They have every level - and lots of variety. For example, the one I did this morning was a 30 minute beginner's interval walking program. The "coach" walks you through different speeds and inclines, and also has you focus on your form etc and says motivational things while music plays in the back (just like taking a class at the gym). My 30 mins. was over before I knew it and I had burned over 200 calories just walking! Check it out: http://www.itrain.com/program/iTREAD
There might be other programs similar to this out there - maybe even some free ones, I haven't really checked.

Want Killer Abs Quickly?? I did this for two weeks and started seeing results.
Take a back pack and load it with a laptop and / or encyclopedia. It doesn't have to be killer heavy but you want it to have enough heft to pull your shoulders back.
Put the back pack on and start on your treadmill going 1.5 - 3 miles at a brisk pace 4.0 or better. I include random inclines and prefer programs that give me two to three minutes of steep inclines.
Keep a straight posture as you climb the hills. The back packs weight will help keep your spine straight and your core tight. I did this two times a day for 20 - 30 minutes and shed weight and toned up my mid section. I have coached several people through this and seen amazing results. It's cheap and very effective. Of course my ipod keeps the pace when I'm out on the trails.

Everything seems to be shrinking besides my tummy, no matter how long/fast I run!

Running is counter intuitive to tightening abs. When you walk with the backpack on, place your hands on your abs and feel them tight and working. Try this again when you're running. Feel a difference? The reason is the core isn't tight and engaged when running like it is when walking with a good posture. Keeping a fast pace and using the arms you really engage the core. I hope this workout works for you!

I love the Itrain webiste, i have started treating myself once a month to a new work out, i do the itred 40 mins, it's great as if i don't feel like doing any jogging i can walk through the same workout or if i feel like pushing it i can run the work out.. so i have no excuse to hit the stop button.. next one my list is the icycle, my gym doesn't have any classes so it will be like my own personal spin instructor0 -
I hate running, so I always walk when I do the treadmill. What i do normally is bump the incline up as high as it can go and walk at a speed of 3.0 to begin with. Then I mess around with the speed and incline... so I'll either lower the incline and make it faster, or keep the incline bumped up and lower the speed to help tone my legs.0
