Does anyone own a food scale?
Suggestions on where to get one- what's a good price- and whether or not it's worth going electronic?

Thanks for input!

I have the biggest loser one. I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond for like $20 I think. Its digital and can weigh either ounces or grams. I love it.

I have an electronic scale. Haha, I bought it years ago in Weight Watchers and never used it. When I got married my husband started using it for weighing postal returns (he loves to buy stuff online then always returns it). Anyway, when I got to using this site a lot, I realized I needed to have an idea of how much my food weighs and now it's back in its rightful place, the kitchen!

In my opinion, it's a critical piece of equipment for losing weight & tracking calories...I use it more than I use the microwave.

For $15-20 you can get a decent digital unit from Walmart or one of those giants. I bought mine on sale for $10 last year.

I agree digital is the way to go; I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond as well, I think it is a Saltzer brand. It has held up well over the years. I have had to change the battery once or twice. Make sure you get one that will "tare" between ingredients. Maybe all the digital ones are that way? I had never heard to word tare before, I just looked it up on dictionary.com (a deduction from the gross weight).
