I read somewhere that doing planks will help with stomach muscles but where do I put that in here for exercise?

It is an exercize but I don't think you'd burn many calories doing them so I wouldn't think you could really log them unless you have a HRM or something.

record them under strength training so you can keep a record of how many and how often you do them....

doing planks is a strength exercise, for which you wouldn't count calories for. just know in your heart that you are doing your core good :-)

You could count them as calisthenics.
  • Use yoga or pilates to track the calories burned.
  • I do them (and hate them but need them!) as part of my ab work. I lump it together in under sit-ups and input what my HRM says for that part of the workout. I just do some quick math in my head to seperate the cardio/ab/strength parts of the workout - not exact but very close. I personally dont track every excercise I do (sets/reps/etc) anymore
