I pushed play for the first time today! The fit test was a killer :explode: and I'm sure tomorrow will be even harder! If anyone else started Insanity today I would love to become friends and go through this experience together.

My wife just started yesterday also, you can find her on my friends list (Alliej). Send her a request. She'd love some buddies to work along with her. She woke up this morning at 5:40 am to do Plyo Cardio Circuit. I am so proud of her.0

You all will enjoy Insanity, myself and a lot of others have completed it and it is worth every second you put into it.0

My husband and I just started today too. I've done a few rounds of insanity and P90X and hybrids of the two combined, but this is my hubby's first time. We are both so sore! : )0

I am! Looks like we started on the same day! I did the fit test and the plyo in the same day...I'm going with the prescribed schedule, so cardio recovery today - ah!. My thighs and gluts feel it the most so far...
Stay motivated! One workout at a time..
Just think of how you'll feel in (now less than) 60 days!0 -
Dig Deeper!!!!0

I am doing the fit test today so we will see how that goes0

I have my last Insanity workout tomorrow, YEAH. Keep with it - if you have to miss a day its okay, just keep doing it. It's taken me an extra 2 weeks to complete the 63 days but I don't think it's lessened my sense of accomplishment.
You'll be amazed at how much higher you can jump at the end.
My advice is to wear a HRM (everyone burns a different amount of calories andyou don't want to overestimate your calorie burn and end up eating too much) and invest in a good pair of cross trainers - your knees will thank you.0 -
So third day in - My calves and back are killing me! I'm excited for tomorrows workout, I previewed it and it looks a lot less intense, but I LOVE how I'm burning around 400 calories oer workout! It seems like such a great burn for 40 minutes or so!
How is everyone else doing?!0 -
I had a question about logging it into wrkout for the day. Since you cant put in "Insanity" or "Cardio" What should we log it in as?
Also, its day 3 for me =] Hooray! Great job everyone!0 -
work it guys! i just started the second month and it feels like i'm starting all over again!0

I use my HRM, for me I've found 40 minutes burns about 400 cals, but thats based on my height and weight. Try logging it as circuit training?0 -
im with u ,,, do u work out in the am or pm0
-
Count me in!!!! I ordered the DVDs yesterday and hopefully will get them soon.0

Thank you!
Today I used p90x recovery formula after my workout =] Ive herd really good things so ill let everyone know tomorrow!0 -
I did not get to do my 3rd day today and I really wanted to ): I will tomorrow though. Yall keep it up! I am glad to see so many people here going through the same experience as me. DIG DEEPER YALL (:0

I logged as "Circuit Training" as well for Insanity. Now I've made my own "Insanity" on my personal exercise list so I could customize the calories to me...
In addition to HRM - This site has a decent calculator which in includes adjustment for weight - so you can check that out too...

Good Luck!
Let's do this - You can do it!0 -
Defo let us know how the recovery formula works...I've been doing homemade 4:1 carb/protien shake after...
Just did pure cardio today - whoohoo! Pure indeed!0 -
I did the cardio recovery workout today, and I found it it be incredibly slow and boring. I mean some things I definately felt and my legs were vibrating, but the burn according to my HRM was like 190 calories. I get its a recovery, but still frustrating for me lol0
-
even though the recovery workout is slow, my thighs HATE me for days after. but TRUST....you need the recovery workout!0
-
Thank you for the websight! Ya i think recovery formula def worked. My abs arent really that sore anymore, my calves still burn like crazy but just shows what i need more work on haha Hope everyone had a great day/workout!0

P90X Results and Recovery Shake is a life saver!!! I drink it after any work out 30 minutes or longer.0 -
Hey girls! I just posted over on Bryan's post (he started the same day as we all did) and thought I would join you guys as well. LOVED days 1&2 (though they were tough) but I hated day 3 recovery. I felt like it was a wasted day! I'm sure previous posters are right, that we need the recovery, but it just didn't feel right!
Can't wait to hit it hard at lunch today! I have been working out at lunch every day and am a bit nervous about the weekends as I have 4 kids and a crazy schedule. My older daughter (12) did the fit test with me and wants to do workouts with me when she doesn't have soccer and softball practices. Anybody know of any kids that have done this workout? I worry that it might be a bit extreme for her, but she is an athlete so maybe not a big deal? I may psot this as a general quesion in the forum as it has been on my mind all week.
Great to find you all! Looking forward to the next 56 days!

Ask your family dr. is he thinks its okay for her to do it. I mean, I dont see why not, I started rowing at the age of 12 and it was pretty intense, but I'm not a health care professional!
As for the recovery workout, it was nice to have a day "off" but I REALLY enjoyed todays workout, it was super hard. The only thing I found was that it had a lower calorie burn which I found odd concidering it was pure cardio...hmmm0
