calories burned

How do you track your calories burned? I don't have a heart rate monitor. My treadmill always says that I've burned about twice as much as MFP lists with the time and speed.

  • I asked that question yesterday lol! Everyone on here told me to get a heart rate monitor and enter it that way instead of using MFP's exercise list. There's a link that says "Add your own exercise" or some variant of that after you click on the "Exercise" tab at the top.

    It's hard to know exactly how much you burn without a HRM watch or any kind of item that helps you see how much you burn... I wear my watch when I exercise...

    I have a heart rate monitor that tells me how much I burn its usually right around what MFP says. The treadmill and elliptical usually shows me higher. usually count on 100 calories per 10 minute work out (give or take depending on your intensity).
