Hi.
How would i log High Intensity Interval Training with circuit training elements on MFP.
I have just been logging it as circuit training because that's the closest thing MFP has.

I also log it under circuit training. Then I use the notes section for the specifics.
I add my own strength exercises into the directory..can you do the same for cardio?0 -
its really hard to log because we do lots of different things
i wonder how many calories we actually burn from it too.
the circuit training already goes down as cardio x0 -
Unfortunately, MFP's calorie burn estimates are never going to be completely accurate because they're generic and don't take into account how hard you were actually working out. The best way to track calories burned is to invest in a heart rate monitor which uses your heart rate to determine how hard you;re working.0

great idea!
where can i buy a heart rate monitor?0 -
You can find a HRM at any store that has a sporting goods dept. I got mine on Amazon! The Polar brand is the best in my opinion and the research I've done0

I agree with the previous post. The best way to know exactly how many calories you're burning is with a heart rate monitor. I use a watch called LifeTrak, and I set it before I work out then turn off when I'm done. It will tell me exactly how many calories I've burned, and I can check on my heart rate as well.0

Same here, stuck with logging as circuit training. Also why I never eat back more than half the calories because I'm not 100% confident in the calculated burn. I've got a fuel band but I don't trust it either because if I ride my motorcycle I end up with 20,000 steps...0
