I'm in a medical weight loss program with an obesity doc and nutritionist. I've got over 200 pounds to lose total, but first goal is 120 pounds in a year. My personal first goal is to get under 300 and I'm almost there. Been 45 days and I've lost 26 pounds. Doc has me on some meds, had a bad reaction to the first meds and finally found something that seems to be working. I'm on a 1200 calorie diet and doing great so far! Two months ago I would have cringed at the thought of 1200 calories, but now I have a REALLY hard time even getting to that mark. As a matter of fact, I have only actually met the 1200 calories a few times in 45 days and it's actually been really easy. Surprise surprise! Been buying and eating much healthier foods and enjoying it more than I ever thought. I have yet to incorporate exercise. Its always been painful for me (feet, back, knees), but once I get under that 300 mark (1-2 more weeks!) I'm going to buy some clothes that fit (mine are already getting too big) and hit the trails!
I would love to share some tips and advice with any of you so feel free to friend me. I log in daily. Good luck to everyone, see you on the other side of the finish line!0 -
Hi!! I'm on the same journey, I'm wanting to loose 100+ lbs, I've already lost 15 and that's the most I've ever lost before! I'm all new to this tbh. Its hard sometimes becuase I'm 21 and have party animals as friends and alcohol is a no go! I wish you well and good luck for achieving your future goals, by the looks of people on mfp they are very helpful and friendly so that's a bonus x0

Hi!!! Feel free to add me. I'm in a similar boat...I'm in my mid-20s and looking to lose over 100 pounds. Am in need of friends for support and accountability to keep me on track. It's hard to find solid support in real life as all of my friends are either naturally thin or really active, so while they're great and try, they just don't understand what it's like.0

100lbs is a lot to lose so break it down in small chunks and treat yourself everytime you reach a goal. Start off at 5% which is 5lbs then go for the next 5% Usually when you lose 10% of your starting weight you will drop a size in clothes so treat can be a nice new item of clothing that you really fancy. This will make you feel good and will encourage you to keep on track for your next goal. I lost 56lbs some years ago and it took 10 months but this is the way I achieved it. Good Luck and feel free to add me x0

I don't have 100 pounds to lose, but when I started, I could probably total it at about 70. I lost some before I found mfp, and have lost 25 in the last 70 days. If you log, you will lose. The motivation you can find on this site is amazing. It's more do-able than you know. My next goal is another 25 pounds! I'm taking it one goat at a time! Welcome and would love for you to add me to your friend list.0

I meant the face you're pulling. You look beautiful, obviously!
Are you pulling my leg, or have I completely put my foot in it?0 -
My initial goal is 115 lbs, so I am right there with you. My most recent inspiration is we just booked a 6 day trip to Disneyland for New Year's. I would love to ride the rides with my 2 small children, so nothing like an expensive vacation to kick me into high gear. Good luck to everyone!0

I would like to get started again! MFP helped me lose about 60 pounds a few years ago, but I sadly gained it all back. I was single and childless when I lost the weight...not to say it was easy, by any means, but now that I have a boyfriend, son, and a demanding full time job, it's even more difficult, and I desperately need help getting back on track. I would love to lose about 75 lbs.
Be my friend!0
