Accountability?

How do you hold yourself accountable to stay on track? I keep falling off track lately and I'm wondering how all of you do it....how or maybe who holds you accountable?Do you have goals you set every week?

I'm accountable to myself for every choice I make. I do set fitness goals for myself short term and long term. But no one else can hold you accountable, you have to take responsibility for yourself and the choices you make.

    Exactly this.

You should take accountability yourself. You make your choices, you live with them. since the weather is getting warm, wear a two piece bikini to the beach every weekend. if you feel uncomfortable in public than that should motivate you, if that doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will.

Thanks for sharing everyone. It terms of accountability with others, I mean if you have a group you work out with so that you can continue to stay motivated.

Step one: log everything accurately, the good, the base and the ugly.
    Step two: repeat step one.

If you don't you're only cheating yourself.

Start slowly, log today. Then do it again tomorrow. I used to have trouble with weekends, then I made myself log one weekend, by the next weekend in was so proud, I wanted to do it again.

I only run with my nephew and that is just to spend time with him. but when he starts football I won't be running with him, it will just be me again alone with the road grinding it out. I love being on the road with no real finish line. just letting loose and going until I can't go any further.

Motivation comes and goes, you need to start developing good habits. Logging your food, getting some activity in should all become part of your routine just like taking a shower.

Again you only have yourself to be accountable to, is it nice to have someone to work out with ... once in awhile but I'm going to get my workout done with or without them, because I have to look myself in the mirror.

It's well and good to say we're all accountable to ourselves, but sometimes it's not that helpful. If you keep getting off-track, why? What's going on?

A lot of times for me, it's stress. And instead of reminding myself of my own accountability, I have to try and deal with that stress.

Work smarter, not harder. Find the problem, and then solve it.

"Go *that* way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn."

I completely agree with you! For me I think it's stress sometimes too
