So, I have been eating more recently, (about 1,400 calories each day) rather than the 500 I was eating for the past month. I got all the way down to 122.8 at 5'5.5" I was happy with my weight, but I was constipated so I knew I couldn't eat like this forever (and this isn't good for your body). I weighed myself last Tuesday and was at 122.8, but ever since I've been eating normally (and exercising) I've gained 10 pounds in the past week! I weighed 132 this morning, BEFORE breakfast. I haven't had a bowel movement in a day, so maybe that would be some of it, but I highly doubt your bowel could weigh 10 pounds. I've also been drinking around 4 glasses of water each day, but I have always done that. Do you know what's going on?

Why were you on 500 cals a day? It's obvious that as soon as you start eating properly again you will gain weight!0

You got down to 122.8 pounds in one month by eating 500 calories a day? If so, it's simple: you lost a lot of water weight. This is why crash diets don't work and never have in the history of crash diets.
Stick with your 1400 calorie deficit and accept that you're going to have to put the time in. I'd drink more water too.
Edit to change: not 1400 calorie deficit! Sorry. I meant 1400 calories with a reasonable deficit.0 -
Muscle weight. But now that you are eating more & exercising you will start losing. Just stay consistent!0

This is PRECISELY why you don't eat less than 1200 per day. When you stop eating so little, this happens because your metabolism is messed up. Be patient, give your body time to realize it won't starve. AND DON'T EAT LESS THAN 1200 CALORIES PER DAY! Also drink more water.0

Sigh...
When you increase your calorie consumption that drastically and that quickly you will retain water for a period of time.
"IF" you continue to eat at 1400 the weight will eventually settle back down. Give it time to catch up.
Then gradually increase your calories up to maintenance level.
"DON"T" decrease your calories back down to 500 just to get your weight back down or you will just continue to have this problem.0 -
Stay away from the scale for a few weeks - until your body gets used to your new more healthy eating habits, it's going to be retaining water. And yes, the bowel movement has something to do with it too. Be patient and take comfort in the fact that you're not just in it to lose weight but to get healthy.
Please also consider eating a bit more on the days you're active - at least half of earned calories.0
