what are you doing/hoping to achieve by doing this??0
-
optimal performance first, steady energy thru the day, and some fat loss with stregth gains . . and a sustainable diet0

So why not figure out how many calories you need during the day for fat loss/losing weight...
And then space your carbs out through the day??
Me personally I do IF.
So I workout in a fasted stated, and I do fine for my workouts (which is weight lifting)
And then post workout I pound down the protein and carbs0 -
because spaced carbs have a different effect compared to a backload,
so i workout in a carb fasted state so i can mobilyze fat and then i can replenish my glycogen stores to continue to workout optimally the day after. . .post workout i get an insule spike eating things like banana or dates and my protein shake . . .
if i eat fats in the morning or at lunch i feel that my energy is a lot better than eating carbs
but with my training i need carbs so i eat them in the evening post workout
but i just started, for this i wanted to know some opinions from someone that is doing this from some times0 -
In a way it kinda sounds like what I am doing.....
But for me, I finish eating around 8pm and don't start eating again til around 1pm the next day.
What kind of activity/exercise are you doing?0 -
i do mostly strenght training and some circuit training but now i added playing squash that is pretty intense .. .so i need more carbs
yes is in some way similar to IF because you are mobilizing fat as energy and not eating before training works best also for me my body functions better
i remember the relief when tried if and i undestood that in not necessary to eat a big breakfast and you can train fasted and still get at high intensity
but with my schedule i eat late at night and i fast in the morning0 -

*no * humm what a great contribution to the topic. . .noth sure if it's worth replying . . .
anyways your metabolism is working in a different way if in the morning you are IF , eating eggs, drinking a litre of soda, or eating two pizzas so .. . . yes they have a different effect0 -
Care to back that up? Keifer makes claims based on two small studies which show a negligible effect, while ignoring the body of evidence that fails to support it.

Yeah doing something like squash on top of the other stuff.....I am not sure how I would work that out....
Since you have added squash, which would be very aerobic.....
Why even bother with fasting?
I know for me, I do it this way cause I don't really do cardio/aerobic stuff.....just weigh lifting.0 -
as far as carbs go that I like.
Steamed White Rice
Sweet Potatoes (white are fine too)
Cinnamon Toast Crunch0 -
you have a good food diary, maybe after experimenting with backloading for a month or more i'm gonna give another try at IF since it fits perfectly my fluctuations of huger0

My workouts are usually around 1130 - 1245....
Ignore this past sunday's diary.
