just a stupid observation but I finally realized it only takes 1 & 1/3 tablespoonfuls of oil ( 4 tsp) to pop 4 tablespoonfuls of pop corn. who knew? I used to use 3 tbsp.

Lol! I have an air popper so no oil is needed. I'd only add oil (usually less than a tbsp to one cup of kernels) if I want to sprinkle on some salt. Mm. Yum.0

a popper? I have an air popper I hate. 1 tbsp per cup of popcorn? wow.. and you make a CUP of pop corn at a time? i don't think I could eat that much at one sitting.0

You can pop it yourself using a large pot on the stove. No popper needed.0

One CUP of kernels! How much popcorn does that make????0 -
You can pop your own popcorn in a brown paper (lunch-style) bag in the microwave with no oil whatsoever. I use 1/4 cup of kernels. Fold down the top of the bag twice. Pop on your popcorn setting and wait to hear it slow down... a second or 2 in between pops...just like with pre-packaged microwave popcorn.
Much healthier!!0 -
