Transition

Hi everyone
I am a relative newbie to working out. I just got a fitbit to track steps and any walking I do. I also joined Curves to do Circuit Training. The last few weeks I have been in transition as a teacher and wanted to ask for advice. 2 weeks ago, I was running an after school club that caused me to have 15-16 hour plus days. I went to curves 1 or 2 times in that week but opted for more rest because it took so much out of me. Last week I started to got to curves a little more but had been switched onto a state testing schedule, which is totally exhausting in its own way. This week, my principal told me to switch all of my groups and start new ones for the last 5 weeks of school. This caused me to have a 13 hour day on Friday, an additional 4-5 hours of work over the weekend, and likely I will have to go in early all week.
My question is this: when you are in a time of transition, which is more important to your weight loss: sleep or exercise? Many nights, I will not arrive home until 8 pm, and have to wake up by 5 or 5:30 am, not having eaten dinner at 800 pm. I feel guilty if I want to sleep in until 6, which will often give me 7 hours of sleep (if I get home at 8, then have to eat, pack lunch, etc), but I find that if I don't sleep I really oveeat more.

exercise is about fitness not weight loss.
It is fine to get your sleep instead of exercise for a while...esp if you over eat when tired.0 -
Thanks for your reply. What an interesting thought. I have never thought of them as 2 different things.0
