    dessert smoothie:

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    2-3 almond milk ice cubes
2 tablespoons Greek nonfat or lowfat vanilla yogurt
8 or 9 dark cocoa dusted almonds
    1 teaspoon cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon chia seeds
    1 teaspoon ground flax seeds
2 dried figs (softened in water for 30 minutes prior)
1 tablespoon Jiffy Whipped chocolate peanut butter
    a few chocolate chips
4 frozen cherries (or 1/2 frozen banana)

blend for 2 minutes and enjoy. Makes 1 smoothie (small).

obviously one can play around with and omit or add certain ingredients to any smoothie ... have fun !

My smoothie of the moment is a Pineapple Ginger Smoothie:

1 1/2 cups diced fresh pineapple
    1 banana
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (I used vanilla, but you can choose your favorite flavor)
    1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
    1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup pineapple juice or water

Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately.

    Yields: 2 cups smoothie

I follow youngandraw.com on facebook & I think they're great. They regularly do 30 day green smoothie challenges and they have loads of recipes for juices, smoothies, vegan & raw vegan food. I like them 'cause they give very detailed descriptions of nutritional values of the recipes and what each ingredient is good for. They're definitely worth having a look at.
