I am thinking about one too! I have heard that the straps are cheap and don't go together smoothly and fall off. I want to know how well they GPS track you indoors. I have fitness run and it cant pick up indoors. fit bit recalled one...saw that on the fitbit site yesterday.0

I too have heard mixed reviews even on here from people, still so confusing lol0

I've had one for about a year and think it's a great tool for measuring both my exercise and sleep. However, the first one I got stopped working after a few months - but the customer service was amazing and when I explained the problem and Fitbit sent me a new one at no extra charge immediately.0

The thing to remember about the flex is that it counts the steps as your arm swings. If you pushing a cart or carrying things, it will not count those steps.
That being said I love my flex, and have never had it fall off randomly during the day? At night sometimes I wake up and it's tangled in bed with me. But I tend to sleep like a tornado lol. Your experience may vary.0 -
Had my Fitbit flex for about 7 weeks & love it. Takes some of the guess work out of calories burnt. Now I can accurately track cals in & cals out, which means I have lost consistently for the last 7 weeks. Its really only good for exercise in the form of walking & hiking (maybe running - not sure on that one). Other exercise you would really need to input manually - e'g weight/ resistance training, elliptical, rowing etc.0

I push a stroller when I run, if I got the flex and put it on my belt or something when I run would it count the steps or should I just get one of the belt ones? I like the idea of having it on my wrist more, but if it won't count it when I push a stroller I would be sad.0

I agree, mine counts all steps regardless of what my arms are doing! And I also walk a lot with my dog, etc...
It's a great daily reminder to keep motivated and get extra steps in wherever possible, but the best use of tracking with a Fitbit is long term information in my opinion, so an individual step here or there isn't going to change the overall picture.0 -
Thank you, i'm kicking my self a little for not getting when they had the deals for mothers day0

I just got mine two days ago after months of research and debate. I love it, I know my steps aren't 100% accurate, and I know it's a glorified pedometer, but I love it. I like that it helps motivate me to move throughout the day. I work a desk job so it's nice to have something to motivate me to move around my office more. I think the sleep tracker and the silent alarm options are awesome, and I like how well fitbit works with MFP. If you get one just know that it's not 100% accurate.0

Yeah that's what is having me lean away from that because I type all day and I carry my son and push a stroller but it would be so much easier to just put it on my wrist and leav it until I have to charge it rather then having to remember putting it on my bra/pants/pocket. lol0 -

Oh really? Hmmm now I am starting to reconsider...that would be awesome if it didn't need your arms to actually move to count steps because the Body Media won't count steps if your arms aren't engaged.0 -

This is wrong. The flex counts steps no matter what your arms are doing. It is also the only one of the fitbits that can be worn in water so it is great if you swim or do aquasize.
I have had mine for several months now and absolutely love it! I only take it off once a week to charge it and rarely even notice it on my wrist any more.0
