Weird question. Don't know if there's an answer!

So... I'm in the group Scranton to NY with love. Our goal is to go 120 miles by valentine's day through any form of exercise we'd like. 2 of my exercises a week are taking a Zumba class. You think there is a way to convert the time I spent dancing in an hour long class into miles. Bahahaha! I think I'm a dork! You don't know unless you ask- that's my motto!

Wear a pedometer. And then convert the steps into miles.
  • If it were me, I would use calories burned to convert it to some form of distance. So if you know the amount of calories you burn doing your Zumba, find how far you would have to go running at your normal speed. May not be the best way but it will at least give you something towards your goal.
  • What about wearing a pedometer?

From what I have seen a lot of people convert it 15 minutes = 1 mile since it is pretty high intensity

Hmm very interesting. I did just get my Bodymedia yesterday and it has a pedometer built into it, so maybe I'll wait until next week and log it then. Thanks for the ideas!
