Hi everyone. Just want to take a few moments to say hello. I've been on a slippery slope over the past few months since I got married and all of a sudden nothing fits me - I've gained PILES of weight. Enough is enough! I need to get a reign on things but I'm struggling with motivation and sheer bone idleness. I'm hoping that daily logging and accountability for what I'm eating will help and hopefully gain the support of my fellow fitness pals. I'll hopefully be able to help others too on here.

Hi. I'm new to this scene too. We will keep our fingers crossed for luck. I ordered a Fitbit as well and it should be arriving tomorrow. I hope it will help encourage me to get my butt off the sofa when I get home from work. One problem I have is that my husband loves to cook and I don't want to insult him by not eating. I know, sounds like an excuse. Anyway, you are not alone in this new venture. Looking forward to being healthy. Losing weight is just icing on the cake. Good luck to you!0

One thing that really helped me rein in my eating at dinner is to reduce the portion, and save the rest for lunch the next day! That way nobody is insulted, and you get to keep within your calories much easier... and you enjoy delicious food the next day too.
That's the main thing I've been doing to reduce my dinner-time calories, is to reduce my portions to ~500-600 calories and keep the rest for lunch, or dinner the next night.
Before doing this I was easily eating 800-1200 calories at dinner alone!0 -
Hi there, same here I been piling it on, so I thought time to take action.... started a diet plan 7 weeks ago first two weeks went really well lost a stone.... but now I am exercises, watching what I eat.... and I am finding it very hard to shift now.... starting to lose the will power.... so I thought I try this my fitness pal... hopefully this will help otherwise I be diving into chocolates0
