Do I need to eat 500kcals above my TDEE?

Options
Hi

Just wondering if I need to eat 500kcal every day above
TDEE to gain one pound? What kind of food should I eat? Mainly carbs?

I am doing a lot of cardio at the moment, 7 hours per week (rowing, cycling and running). My TDEE is around 2900 kcals (depending the calculator).

You asked this yesterday... yes to gain 1lb you need to eat 500 calories above your TDEE so 3400.

If you are bulking up to build muscle, what you eat isn't that important, just hit your calorie goal.
