need some support from tall girls!

Hello! Looking forward to making some friends and sharing support in our weight loss journeys. I am 5'9.5" and 156. I feel best between 135-140, but have become such a compulsive stress eater over the last 5 months that I am really nervous that the scale won't even budge. Tired of feeling tired and uncomfortable in my clothes. Being tall I feel like a big giant next to all my friends. Anyone else put on weight fast like I did due to high stress?

I am 6'1 and 176 I put on 30 pounds over the last few years from high stress!0

I am with u girls on the tall side! 5' 10" and I'm @ 285 right now... ugh. people i know ask me... where is it? I guess my height hides some of my weight but I agree that being smaller will help me feel better. I am an emotional eater... and thats been my biggest problem. I think I've added over 50 lbs since 2008. We're here for ya girl!!0

I dunno if it was stress that made me put on lbs fast, but I went from maintaining 160-165 for the first two years after having my son to a whopping 198 somewhere between april and august of 2010. I guess the stress of my house going into foreclosure and being a single working mom and going to school coulda done it lol. Been working since september to get back down, and am down to the mid 170's now, still got another 10-15 before I'll be happy with my weight again. Becuase I'm tall my gained weight isn't as noticeable to other people, and Anytime I say anything about losing weight people tell me I'm already skinny bla bla bla. ((tell that to the wardrobe that I have to stuff myself into, please.)) lol. anywho, you can do this0

I hear ya, I am 6'1 and 243 lbs. I feel like a giant next to all of my friends. I have gained 30 lbs in the last 8 months. I am a total stress eater who LOVES food. I am hoping to turn over a new leaf this year. I am hoping to figure out how to redirect my stress. I need a hobby. Good luck to everyone.0

I feel the same way... I'm 5'9 and about 210 right now. This is the most I have ever weighed in my entire life and I can't believe it!! I am sick of feeling awful and eating because of stress...which has been my problem for awhile. I also quit smoking and started nursing school back in 2008 and that is when the weight started piling on I have always felt like a giant next to friends haha since I am usually the tallest girl in the group, but being overweight and tall is not a good combo. I am excited about this new website and I have the app on my phone...so hopefully we can all motivate each other and make 2011 a better year!!0

I agree with finding a new way to direct my stress/emotions... maybe that should be the first topic we could discuss. Anyone found any successful ways to manage their emotions or stress when you were previously a stress eater? Any ideas would be valuable.0
