yea i will take it. i lost the over 2 i gained last week plus some extra. i feel so much better about the whole thing.
DH tells me last night that he only has 104 jobs this month. he gets commission. he normally has 140+. so i am trying not to stress eat over this. the good Lord will see that we will be just fine.

I am extremely bummed but still not going to hide from the truth. Actually right now I have a health reason to be retaining water and gaining weight. About once a year I have this problem unless I stay on constant bc pills(which I hate). I get ovarian cysts. They give me major TOM symtoms x 100. Lets just say my husband is staying far, far away from me right now. Its sucks because its painful too. And it screws up my cycle. Oh, did I mention I just have to ride it out. There is not anything that can be done to make it go away? Oh well, I knew I was due for another one anytime, its been over a year.
I am sticking to it today, logging all my food and trying to steer clear of extra sodium.

amy_36....look at the bright side you went a whole year before a dozy cames on again. maybe next time you can go longer. write out you feelings and anger. or just come on here and write away.
i got the daily chores done. changed the sheets. hate changing sheets. last of the laundry getting done. hung our tv this past weekend, still putting the living room back together. so many different ways to move things now.

Cathy- WAY TO GO girl ... i am so proud of you... looks like the shots are working huh? Are the symptoms gone yet??? headaches??? ..... So beyond proud! Starting your new year off the right way !!!!! Keep it up! I rearranged my living room yesterday! needed a fresh start!
Amy_36-- Awwwwwww im sawwy! Cysts suck .....! I think you have the right mentality about it all though! You know its bound to happen at least once a year ....... so dont bumm about the number on the scale.... Just ride it out ... continue to eat healthy .... and who knows ... the number may surprise you when the symptoms leave !!!!!!! Good idea to stay away from sodium! Dreaded Water Weight !LOL ... i am PRONE to water weight !!!!!!! .... its very easy for me in this heat of the islands... to be bloated! Good luck girl!

HELLO ladies! It's 2011!!! CRAZY! SO...the holiday is DONE...I've gained 4 pounds! ARGH! Oh well...yesterday was my new start and I must say it started WONDERFULLY!! I ate great and did my 55 minute Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones video and burned about 500 calories! Wooohooo!! SO excited to get back into my groove and shed all the remaining weight!

Yuck for the weight gain!!
I got up this morning and shredded!! It was a great work out, I could tell that it had been a while since I had worked out. My ankle hurt just a little, so I am making sure to be real careful. I still cringe when I walk up and down stairs. My other good news, don't know if you guys would remember back in August I had a cyst removed from my wrist and I hadn't been able to do any push ups, even before my surgery. But my news is that I was able to do some!! I felt so good!!
I see all these gains with us, but all that happened in the past it is all behind us. Now we need to work on the future and be more careful with out choices!
Moving slower today on my water...only 2 out of the 5. I WILL drink them all!!

Well...the day is going good so far. Still deciding on dinner...might do something other than the red potato...don't know for sure yet. I'm munching on my string cheese and apple at the moment! Like you said Lauren, there are quite a few gains...but we are in a New Year so let's make some New Losses!! Woohoo! My legs and abs are BURNING today but I love it! I'm thinking of doing a 20 minute upper body workout this evening! I don't think I could do anything with my legs even if I wanted...it's hard enough for me to sit down on the toilet!:laugh: Water today is good...almost 48 ounces already! ANYways...back to some work! Have a good afternoon!!0

afternoon,
i just dropped a table across the top of my foot. it's the foot that had bunion surgery years ago. it hurts so bad and is bruised. i have pins or screws in there. don't remember which. i don't want to go to the doctors. but, may have to. it bruised right away. need to rest it.

Needless to say over Christmas and he two weeks leading up to Christmas were also a complete fail as I was laid up in bed with flu.... yuk!! So not only did I completely miserably fail the last challenge, but I have missed the start of the new challenge.
AND I GOT ALL FAT over the xmas season.

Cathy I feel you. I still haven't been able to work out since I sprang my ankle. I still have brusing coming to the top. It swells up by evening too. It has been over 3 weeks. So be careful don't over do. Give it plenty of rest and keep it elevated as much as you can. Hope you feel better soon:flowerforyou:

I am really suprised that I don't have a gain. I do not limit myself around the holidays.
I am pretty stressed out. I have lived in Southern California my whole life and next week we are moving to North Carolina. My grandmother (she raised me) has breast cancer and it traveled to her brain. We don't know how much longer she is going to be here. so I am scared to leave her. We have a daughter now though and we have to do what is best for our family. Just leaving everything I know...and all my friends is really bumming me out. Hopefully I don't turn to food to fill the void.0 -
Bumping for whenever i can get on the scale. I have the flu big time, in addition to massive menstrual symptoms (even though I had that visit LAST week) so I'm barely standing these days, let alone on a scale. Hopefully by Friday, I'll be able to pull that sucker out of the closet and give it a try. We will see.
Congrats on all the losses (AWESOME CATHY). For those gains, hey, it's a new year, so start kicking some serious but as we have Valentine's Day around the corner and chocolate in our midst.0 -

jennifer....we moved from the bay area to SC years back. so i know it is hard. you will do great. it is SOOOO much different here on the east coast than west coast. laid back, slow.
well after spending 3 hours total in the urgent care, no one has yet to tell me if i broke it or not. i had bent it last night and went through the roof in pain, so decided to go in and have it checked. since it already has an injury and i am diabetic. have always been told to care for the feet first. since it's furthest from the heart. i saw the doctor a total of 4 mins and it took little over 5 mins to snap some xrays. the rest of time was waiting. should have stayed home. i am bruised all the way around the knuckle part of the foot. that's where it hit. oh well, life goes on. heading to the hand doctor for a check up hope he tells me i don't have to wear the brace anymore.

Well...I had a good night last night. My legs and abs were SO sore so I did a upper body workout. Changed my dinner plans all together and had Tilapia, baked red potato and broccoli, cauliflour and carrots with a little italian bread crumbs...YUM! Also had 2 chocolate rice cakes in the evening with some sugar free hot cider. Ended up going over in calories by 2..oh well!
Plan today:
B-Oatmeal, light grape juice, coffee w/sugar-free creamer
S-Banana, breakfast bar
L-Tuna salad, 6 reduced fat crackers, baby carrots, light yogurt
S-2 clementines, 100 cal, pack almonds
D-Honey Lime pork chop, salad (romaine, spinach, cucumber, tomato, broccoli slaw, chow mein noodles, spritzer dressing)
S- Raspberries with cool whip free

Good morning!
Yesterday I actually logged all of my food. I didnt measure out my food so not sure how accurate I was but I logged and that is a step in the right direction. And I weighed a pound less this morning. I drank alot of water yesterday to try to flush some out. It must have worked. I am going to stay strong with the water this week. I have also already logged all of my food today so hopefully that will keep me on track.
Maybe I will throw some exercise in there tonight, I need to anyways. I am afraid of the gym and all of its resolutioners butI might just have to go for it.

well the hand doctor released me today. yea....still have to wear brace when doing some things or out and about. he said let it tell me what i can and can't do.
xray showed no break. i had to get ahold of them. no one bothered to call me. been resting it today.
having a little struggle today. don't know why. i have stopped eating. which is a first. i could have finished the bag of chips, but, thought than i wouldn't have any for lunch tomorrow. have drank most of my water already. maybe it's the shots causing these feelings of want, but, yet don't really want it. if so great.
off to find something to do.

Amy...oh boy with the potty training!! Good luck!! We bought Kadence a potty for Christmas and she has lots of potty books. She is becoming more aware of when she goes in her diaper and she's starting to tell us. So...we're hoping she decides to try the potty out early!!! (maybe before 2...we shall see...). But she's only 16 months today, so we aren't pushing her at all yet. We just want to be ready whenever she decides! Keep us posted on how it's going.
Cathy...glad to hear it's not broken. Just take it easy and DO listen to your body...it will tell you when you're pushing too hard!
AmyS...good job on logging! That's always hardest for me also!
Well...I am almost finished work, then getting the oil changed on the car...then home to make some yummy dinner, exercise, and then some reading in a bubble bath!! I can't wait!!!

stopped eating. had chicken, quinta and broccoli for dinner. went pass the full mark and the medicine kicked in. tummy upset. this is what it's suppose to do. won't eat pass that full mark again.

I have been doing better about drinking water... YEA! Still not enough but much better. I did work out yesterday. No running yet but it felt good to do some aerobics and a short ab workout. Hey it's a start....
