Heart Rate Monitor

Hi everyone. Anyone else had this experience? My HRM has been playing up lately and won't pick up my heart rate, or when ir does it gives me a heart rate of something stupid like 40 even if I'm working flat out.

It hasn't been very long since I replaced the battery of the watch and in the past the watch has always warned me when the battery is low.

Could it be the battery in the chest strap, or does it sound like a bigger problem?

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

It's a Sunnto M1 model BTW.

Definitely try changing the chest strap battery. Mine spikes high when the battery starts going.

Depending on how old the chest strap itself is, the contacts may be starting to get worn out. Definitely try replacing both the watch and HRM batteries first. If you are still having issues, try replacing the HRM strap. Most HRM's are universal in size, so you can buy just about any on Amazon nice and cheap. Hope everything starts working again for you!

OP - mine does that when my strap becomes loose, I'd tighten strap down tighter first, then batteries, then new strap.

Not sure if anyone will still care at this point but it was the batteries in the strap : ) Problem solved, thanks for all your help.
