My teams flag is currently flying at your city hall. Your mayor lost a bet with ours. You will also see him sporting a HAB's jersy.

Well, off to play the Rangers.............

See ya! :drinker:

The Montreal Canadiens flag will be flying in front of Boston City Hall after Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre won a bet with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh that the Habs would win against the Bruins.

Denis Coderre bets Boston mayor the Habs will win
The Habs defeated the Boston Bruins 3-1 on Wednesday in Game 7 of their NHL playoff series, eliminating Boston from the playoffs.

Habs fans flooded Ste-Catherine Street to celebrate the Habs 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night.

While Bruins fans lick their wounds today, Walsh has a bet to fulfill.

The mayors of the rival teams' hometowns bet that whoever lost the series would have to wear the other town's jersey and fly the team's flag at city hall for a week. The losing mayor also has to visit the winning mayor's city as part of the deal.

Walsh said he plans to make good on the bet, just as soon as Coderre sends him a flag and a jersey in the mail.

But he said the most difficult part of the bet will be wearing the Canadiens jersey.

"That's going to be a tough one for me," he said.

The Bruins were beaten by a team that showed heart.
Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be this season.
    Go Rangers!

LOL. However, we need to give Charo credit for the assist in the third goal.

Classless Boston fans jinxed their club after taunting Subban. I lost the last bit of respect I had for the hockey fans from the NE, who - in my opinion have put themselves behind the douchewaffles from Philly.

Finally two teams from the Eastern conference I can root for...

Honestly, It was The gollies fault. He was shaky the whole game. I think the nerves got him.

NO pain here! I'm glad Boston is gone and off to schedule their tee times. However, even with Briere & Vanek on the roster, I can't cheer for a division rival.

I hear you. I like the Rangers. Solid team. However, I will like them better 4-0. Well, I would give them 4-1 because I am not greedy.
