One Year MFP Anniversary

Yesterday marked my one year anniversary of my start on this journey. I was at work that day, eating a cajun filet biscuit from Bojangles, and it hit me. I was fat. I didn't WANT to be fat. What could I do? I had lost weight in the past and I could no longer blame my two year old's birth for the weight I had gained back. A friend of mine was using MFP and posting her losses on Facebook and I just clicked on her link and signed up. At first, I went about it pretty blindly, but eventually I figured it out and things started happening. I was amazed and I wondered why I thought calorie counting would be so tough. Now, I can't imagine NOT doing it or at least not looking at a nutrition label.
I have lost nearly 50 pounds. I'm 5'8 and I started out around 196-197 pounds. Today, I weigh around 148. My goal is to get to 145 but I'm not really pushing myself too hard for those last 3 pounds. Now, my focus is on making my body look super hot no matter what the scale says. Woohoo!
Oh, just as a disclaimer: I did NOT eat a very low calorie diet, I did NOT cut out processed foods, I was NOT perfect, I DID have a cheat day every week and I DID have days where I could not control myself. I had many a run in with Crazy Bread from Little Caesars. The point is, I kept going and it's working.
Now, for pictures.

My husband and I ran a 5k! I was so proud of myself.

You look amazing! Thank you so much for sharing that you weren't perfect. Sometimes for me it's really hard to bounce back when I overdose on mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but seeing that you did it and you have wonderful results is a great motivator : )0
