Mom on INSANITY & Shakeology... Fed UP.

I'm a newer Mom... I have a daughter who is now 20 months. I am currently weighing in at 151 and my goal weight is 125. After having my daughter I did lose about 20lbs and had come down to about 140... and have unfortunately gained it all back now.

I am finally committing to a workout regimen that includes "INSANITY" and a Shakeology Meal replacement shake once a day. A few other things that I plan to do like only drinking water and crystal light... and Orange Juice on occassion. I plan to try to eat as lean as possible... including much more chicken and turkey products rather than red meats. All breads/carbs are to be whole wheat...

I really just need to do this for me. i want to be a great example of a well balanced healthy person for my daughter and future Kids...

Is there anyone else out there Doing Insanity and taking Shakeology... I would love some feedback about others' results :)

    I guess I should add... you can definitely read the long version of my story on my blog (listed above) but I have lost over 100 lbs and recently gained some back over the holiday season. So, I am using Shakeology and Insanity to get back on the wagon... I have been working out the entire time (for over a year) but my eating changed. I have learned SO MUCH about nutrition. You are doing a great thing by taking the right steps. You are going to love the health benefits of Shakeology alone! Let me know what you think. :)

    Hi! I'm not doing Insanity or Shakeology, but I wanted to congratulate you on deciding to live a healthy lifestyle. It is so good you are starting now while you are young. Sometimes I wish I had made these changes a long time ago.

    Chicken and turkey are great. Just watch the labels on the ground turkey. I usually buy at least 93% lean on the turkey. Ground turkey breast is pretty expensive per pound, so if you can get it on sale, grab all you can. Whole grains are also a great choice. I just found a whole wheat spaghetti at Aldi's that is only 79 cents for a 12 oz. box. My kids loved it! Best wishes to you! Your daughter is a cutie pie!! :flowerforyou:

    Great! So nice to know I'm not alone... And Congratulations on the 100lbs.

    Ironically enough... today is Day 3 of insanity for me! Lets keep up with one another. In the past I have gotten lazy and made excuses for how tired I am at the end of the day. Luckily my boyfriend and I are doing this together... so the extra motivation I'm sure will be awesome!

    I will definitely be adding u Reanne :) Thanks for the great feed back! Can I ask... when are u taking your Shakeology? Pre, Post Workout...? or just as a meal replacement?

    I'm slowly learning lots more about nutrition too... and exactly what your body does with the food you take in... Sounds like we've got a lot to share with one another :)

    I really am very excited about this change... and need to just do it for myself once and forall...

    Thanks for the great tips on the turkey too. And yes u are right... it is soooo expensive... My daughter actually perfers turkey products too... so it shouldnt be so bad at all... Turkey Dogs, Turkey Burgers :)

    I drink Shakeology every day as does my husband, my father, my 11 year old daughter and other extended family. It is INCREDIBLE and worth every penny. While I have not done INSANITY, I have done other Beachbody workouts and each time my results are amazing as promised. Stick with it. It's worth it.
