Diet while breastfeeding?

Just wondering if anyone else is trying to lose weight while breastfeeding?
I am using the 42 days to fit program, which is supposed to be safe for breastfeeding. (I'm half way through)
But when I put my goals into myfitnesspal, it says my calorie goal per day is 1200. This seems too low for a breastfeeding mother.... Any ideas what it should be?

Well, I'm not positive how much you should adjust that to...
What I would suggest is try to find out how many calories you "lose" through breastfeeding and add that to the 1200 calories. You don't want your supply to dry up because of poor nutrition.
I found on google that its around an extra 500 calories a day. So I would aim to eat 1700 calories a day!

Thanks, I will try that!0
