I am planning my grocery trip and was looking for some ideas.

What are your must haves? Something that is an absolute must for keeping stocked in your kitchen for your cooking self to function?

Spices, meats, veggies...

I find my must have spices are cinnamon, chipotle and herbes de provence

Spices, Cinnamon, Pepper, Rosemary, Lemon Pepper, Salt, Garlic.
    meats, Chicken, Beef, Eggs.
    veggies... broccoli, broccoli, broccoli.

I guess I should get a job because right now the person who chooses the food only gets what he likes and broccoli aint' it. I forgot until this post how much I LOVE broccoli.

How in the eff do you even spell brocolli? Broccoli? Broccolli? I forgot how to spell it. Wha? Oh well if it turns out to be necessary that I remain a stay at home mom, I can always just remember to order brocolli at restaurants. Every. Single. Time.

Absolutely must have eggs, some variety of cheese, oatmeal, tomato sauce (no salt added) and lots of frozen and fresh veggies. In the pantry, various nuts, dried fruit, coucous and/or quinoa, TVP, beans & lentils galore. Some type of bread-like product (whole wheat bread, sandwich thins, tortillas)...usually just 1 of these at a time, though.

We always have tuna, salmon, and shrimp on hand. My husband is pescetarian and I mostly just order meat in restaurants so we don't buy and cook it at home. We usually keep some vegetarian meats on hand...in addition to TVP we usually have tofu, some kind of veggie sausage, veggie burgers, etc.

Spice wise must have cinnamon, clove, paprika, basil, garlic & onion powders and oregano (Mexican and regular), five spice, cumin, chile powder & ginger.

Condiments I've gotta have are light olive oil mayo, Sriracha, various mustards, and chipotle ranch dressing. Some kind of jam - usually apricot or fig.

For me and my own weight loss goals, I MUST have cottage cheese, sliced cheese or cheese sticks, rice cakes, bananas, nuts (almonds are constant, others switch out regularly), almond milk, peanut butter, coffee creamer, and eggs. Those are the things I eat the most, some of them I eat every single day without fail.

As I have diverticulis I can't have seeds or shelled veggies or nuts or popcorn. So I rely on apples, bananas, blue berries, pineapple, clementines, grapes, turkey, ground turkey, chicken, pork, tossed salad stuff, all differetnt spices of course. Snacks, fruit, peanut butter, rice cakes, fiber one bars. I don't eat the best all time but I am trying to get better. Best of luck to you :-)
