Hello

Hello everyone just joined, I have come up against my first hurdle in accessing accurate data for my meals.

Where can I add correct information to store.

For instance Special K cereal is only listed as 100g serving or 1g, the servings are 30g

Country Barn Special Flakes come up as 145g per serving using the auto select at myfitnesspal and it doesn't show sugar or fat content. The correct serving is 30g at 110 calories with 4.5g sugar, 0.2g fat saturates trace, salt 0.2g, I would like to input that data to get a more accurate calculation.

Can anyone help with this sort of query please?

don't go by servings, go by weight

Weigh the amount you are actually going to eat

All other options are guesses and may lead to under counting of calories, and subsequent errors

Every ones serving may differ, eyeballing is the way to error

My "medium" apple may be your "small" one for instance

Thanks for replying farway. What I mean is - Is there a way to edit the grams sugar and fat content that is listed inaccurately or not showing when I add food on myfitnesspal.

ie Add Food, auto scan results, can these be edited?

Yes you can edit, look under "nutritional info" [option is not always available], then is this correct, click "no" and edit away

You will need to provide a reason, I often find sodium is wrong, or for processed foods the formula has been modified, less fat, more salt for instance
