Hi , almost-40 yr old female living on a little island called Salt Spring off the coast of BC (Canada)
My adult weight from age 17 to 27 was 138lbs and I am 5'8. When I was 27 I gained about 60lbs in about a year quite suddenly and gained a few more lbs a year after that till I was 220lbs at age 35. So i counted calories (less than 1,200 a day) and carbs ( less than 40mg of "good" carbs-whole wheat etc a day) and lost 37 lbs or so in about six months. So then I was 180 lbs give or take but slowly started back into old habits and now 4 years later i got up to 240 lbs.
My goal is to lose 40 lb minimum and then reevaluate as I've had 2 kids and am older. My figure is very curvy, kinda a wide hourglass (when i'm not 40 lbs over weight!)
I've been doing Isagenix and have lost fat and gained muscle as i've been doing 20 -40 min cardio 6x a week.
Now i'm using the MFP app and expect good results.
I don't have any friends added on the app yet.

Hello! I am a 65 yr. old lady with lots of extra baggage on board! Initially I started out to lose 120 lbs. in 2011 and got 55 lbs. off. Then I got lax and just maintained for a couple of years, until I developed even more health issues, including major back issues. As a result I put 25 lbs. back on. After my last back surgery 3/2014 and also finding out I am pre-diabetic, I started to track what, how, when, etc. I eat, using My Fitness Pal. I have now lost 12 of those pounds, but now I need to add some exercise. Having MS, this could be a real challenge. I would appreciate any suggestions/help. Thanks.0

Hi feel free to add me I have 59 lbs to lose!!!! I'm 57 recently lost 25 lbs. Female and I log in daily. If you do this MFP you will succeed if you have a daily calorie deficit. Logging in every day has worked for me. Good Luck!!!0
