Ok, this may be a silly question, but...So between Monday and yesterday I got in about 1250 mins of walking and 5600+ cals supposedly burned...yet my weight has been up since Wednesday 5 lbs. I've been eating most if not all of my exercise cals back, probably a bad idea, but I've been starving. Also, I've been incredibly tired, today all I've been able to really do is rest. Is my increase on the scale water weight, muscle or possibly hormones? I don't know that much about the exercise aspect so I would apreciate more experienced people's opinion.

I don't know about the exercise aspect, so I'll leave somebody else to answer that. But regarding you feeling hungry, I notice you are not reaching your protein goals for the past several days. Protein can fill you up and make you feel satisfied for longer, so it would be a good idea to increase this. You could also try replacing white breads with some with more fibre and protein, as those will also fill you up more.

You mention hormones... Women can gain up to 10lbs(maybe more I'm not exactly sure it's around 3-4 for me) because of water retention around TOM - could it be that? If so it should resolve itself next week.

[edited slightly as I wasn't sure of the exact weight range]

You mention hormones... Women can gain somewhere between 2-10lbs because of water retention around TOM - could it be that? If so it should resolve itself next week.

This article explains it well..not saying your are being "crazy" or are eating 1200 calories..ignore that part...cortisol levels, water retention etc is what is the good info in your case.

What exactly are you logging? You seem to be logging numerous and various entries of walking. You may be overestimating your exercise calories.

I'm sure they are overestimated...I don't usually eat them back because I'm not sure how much the burn really is. I log multiple entries because I'll do some walking, then go to do something else, or when I walk to pick up my nephew from school, and I'll walk around the playground while my youngest is playing. I've sort of become obsessed with getting in as much as I possibly can.

Way overestimating how much you are burning. Walking is exercise but it is not strenuous exercise. Get a pedometer or something that will calculate how many calories you are actually burning. But I'm sorry to say I think you are eating too many calories.

On another note, you say you gained 5 pounds in a few days? In my experience weight loss / gain is much more gradual. I mean, you will see the result like you mentioned, one day you will wake up and the scale will change but the changes have been coming for a while. Which means you have been eating too many calories for probably a few weeks and that has resulted in the weight change.

Decrease your calorie intake and focus in eating foods that have less calories like vegetables. Vegetables have very low calories meaning you can eat a bunch but stay in calorie deficit. Also focus in getting better macronutrients, better proteins. You seem to be eating processed food a lot.

I'm sorry, it does not sound like I'm being helpful. I'm not trying to be judgmental but if you are asking for my opinion for losing more weight than that is what I would do. Good luck!

Um, is that a typo? 1250 minutes is close to 21 hours. I can't think of a way to get that in 2 days unless you did an overnight backpacking trip in the woods.
