Progress or not so much?

I was 'tested' on April 26th (3 weeks ago) and today (May 18).
- My body fat percentage has gone down by 2.1%
- I have gained 1.4 lbs of muscle
- I have lost 2.5 lbs of fat.

I was around 125 lbs and am 160cm (5'3) tall.

Is this good or bad progress?

You gained 1.4 pounds of lean mass. There is no way to know that that is muscle and it most likely isn't. Gaining 1.4 pounds of muscle in 3 weeks is unheard of even in a caloric surplus with a heavy lifting routinue.

What was the "test" that determined these numbers for you. 2.1% bodyfat loss in 3 weeks is very good.

At the gym we have something called an "In Body" machine that measures like EVERYTHING.
Today, my trainer could not find the print-out of the results from april 26, but she did when she got home and compared today vs. then.
She just emailed me and told me that information in the original post.
I've been going to the gym 6x a week, eating better and I'm not a couch potato (even when I'm not at the gym) haha.

Does the print out say you gained 1.4 pounds of muscle or 1.4 pounds of lean mass?

Oh I just looked it up. An InBody is an electrical impedance scale? Yeah, that can't distinguish between water and muscle. Those things aren't all that accurate.

If you had a DEXA scan okay, but a electrical impedance scale is far from accurate to be honest.

any progress better than no progress. It's a good start...don't get caught up so much on the number...keep doing what you do. good luck~
