Should I drink whey protein drinks?

Hi! First time positing here. We recently bought a big bag of CytoSport 100% whey in chocolate flavor. I've been wondering if I should also start drinking it as the idea I have for whey drinks is that only males usually consume those. Hahaha.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you're hitting your protein needs without whey, it's not necessary.0

Hey there. Well I'm no expert but I'm 21 female and I drink them. I don't even lift but the one I use is great for a meal replacement and I
usually drink them when I have trouble meeting my protein goal for the day. Protein is really important to me as it fills me up. Otherwise I would just be hungry all the time.0 -

I have a really hard time hitting my protein needs without them. I usually have two scoops for breakfast or after a lift session. But almost daily for me.0

I drink them almost daily. I am not a big meat eater so would have a really hard time hitting my protein goal without them.0

I drink a scoop and half for breakfast and will have one after a workout. It takes care of my chocolate cravings.0

Protein powders are a cheap and easy way to help people (male or female) meet their protein goals, it's just a food source.0

It is my understanding that protein shakes help infuse the body with protein quickly. They are best taken at the end of a strength training session in order to have free protein molecules available for muscle repair... Personally, I find that if I consume them mid-workout, it seems to give me an added boost to get through the workout. It really does not matter if you are male or female. They can help. The only downside is that if you are not lifting and consume way too much protein, it can cause undue stress on the kidneys.0

If you are struggling to meet your protein requirements then I don't see them as terrible but the nutrition that comes from a protein shake isn't going to match that of protein as part of a meal. I have done protein shakes and found they were too sugary for me and I tended to overdo it and go over my calories. I prefer to eat my calories than drink them right now but I know lots of women who have had success with drinking protein shakes, especially women who are on the muscular side and trying to build more muscle.0
