Daily Consumption

So, I figured out my recommended daily carb intake, and it's much more than what I expected. I want to use up the suggested amount, but I could some ideas on healthy ways to get carbs in my diet. So far, I've been doing rye bread as my main source. What should I change/add/tweak??

Up to you what you want to get your carbs from, its whatever you find satisfying given your budget.

Personally I like to spend my carbs on frozen yogurt, fruit, icecream, chocolate, some bread, some rice, some noodles.

First off, what did you use to 'figure out' your carb consumption?

I usually do it on the basis of what's left over when I've hit protein and fat targets :).

I like the cheap tinned custard for extra carbs (17p, low fat, some protein and a good few carbs).
Maybe a little cocoa powder for chocolate custard.
Chuck in some 'cookie crisp' cereal for more carbs if needed..

Usually eaten post-workout, when a good lot of simple carbs is just what I'm looking for.

Beans, lentils, potatoes -- I stay away from bread.

Carbs are in fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and some dairy. Plenty of options:)
