This is my first time trying to post a photo so bear with me. In September I made a commitment to myself to stop using my size as an excuse to my lack of a life. So I stopped eating crappy foods (for the most part), started walking a lot, and over the last 8 months and a few days, I have managed to drop 53 lbs, a fiance that made me stressed and miserable, and 3 pants sizes.

In the process, I've gained confidence, happiness, self-control, and a life. I've started traveling again and being an active participant in the world. It feels amazing to feel like myself again. I have before pics in both my face and my full body, but I haven't taken any progress photos of my body in awhile and don't have the time tonight, but there is such a difference in just my face so I thought I'd share these photos. I still have about 75 more to lose.

To all of you struggling to get there, not every day is going to perfect, but as long as you keep trying, you will get there. Have a little faith in yourself. :smile:

    Wow. Thanks for sharing your story, this weekend has not been good for me but your post has reminded me that this is a long term plan and sometimes I'll have setbacks but I have to stay the course. You look amazing. Congratulations!

    Wow huge difference! I too have a lot of weight to loose, and day by day it can be frustrating. I am trying not to stress it, and just go along with the flow because I know it will take time. Your story is an inspiration and you should be proud of yourself!

    I had someone pull up beside me, car to car, and they said you've lost a lot of weight! Even though I thought all my weight was in my gut. That was when I realized I carried weight all over. You're doing great and doesn't it feel great!

    Thanks everyone! I do feel great. I wouldn't have been able to do this without MFP though and everyone else's success stories. It's nice to be able to post that I've had so much success finally. I'm going to see if I can get someone to take a full body photo later today and I'll post it.

    Well done you look amazing, it helps so much to see these before and after pictures. I have over a stone since January this year, but I have gained a few pounds back after a holiday, and have struggled to get back into my eating plan. But after seeing this it has spurred me on the get back into it and hopefully get to my goal weight. Thanks for sharing.
