Women who've done the Stronglift 5x5 program?

Looks super interesting but, of course, I'm wondering if it will get me to my goals (leaner, less body fat). Common sense says yes, but it specifically says it's made to gain, and I don't know if I can mentally handle gaining much more. ;)

Did it. Lost lots of weight whilst doing it. Moved on to an intermediate programme now.

I've just started and loving the progression of strength. I haven't really lost anything yet, eating under calories mon-friday but cheating on weekends. This is my 4th week, so still early stages

If you are eating at a calorie deficit you will not gain.
Do it, you will feel amazing, your body will also look amazing!

exercise is not about weight loss...

strength training which SL 5x5 is all about is not about weight loss it's about increasing strength.

As a matter of fact when any new woman start SL 5x5 I tell them stay away from the scale...take measurments and pics for comparison.

This is because when you start this you will retain water/glycogen and it appears you gain weight.

Weight loss comes from your caloire deficit...

I have done SL for 8 months and built a lot of stength. I have lost about 30lbs but that is because I eat in a deficit.
