Hey everyone,
I am just trying to lose weight, have lost 92lbs so far but am stuck and discouraged. So I decided to start this and have a community of others who can give advice and support and that I can support. I have lost 92lbs basically by walking in the dark and now I am stuck at 255lbs and cant get any further. Needs some friends in the same boat or who have gotten out of the boat skinnier
Thanks

Don't be discouraged, 92 lbs is a lot. You've basically lost a small person, that's amazing. I've lost 42 lbs so far, and i've gotten stuck for a few weeks twice. I'm not sure why, it might have been that my body was retaining water or was getting used to what I was doing. Regardless, I stuck to it and worked out a little harder, and after those few weeks passed it started coming right off again. I know how discouraging it is to keep seeing the same weight after all the work you've put forth and all the time that it's taken, but you'll get passed it! Maybe check your sodium intake and see if that could be causing some water retention or work out a little longer or harder to add some variance. Plus, the closer you get to a healthy weight range, the less you can expect the weight to fly off like it did when you had more weight on ya. We all know how you feel, really. Hold strong and good luck. And congratulations on your work so far. =]0

Anytime I have hitten a plateau i try and change something up just a little. Too often we get stuck in a routine and our bodies seem to adjust to that routine.
Of course there is the plateau that also comes with not being as motivated and not exactly logging as strictly as you have in the past. I find I can re motivate myself by changing up my diet in this case by trying new recipes and getting excited about my food again. This also causes me to take time to plan out meals in advance.0 -
